This page contains various galleries which show some of my work.
Every gallery has something different to offer; you may visit them
all or chose the one that most interests you. I hope you'll enjoy
this visit.
Bridal Gallery: I create personalized wedding dresses based on the
desires and needs of my clients, that is a future bride or a
Manufacturer. I do not only design wedding gowns but also clothes
for the groom such as the one for the gentleman walking on the
beach with his lovely wife who is wearing a dress I designed for
her. I work with silk, satin, velvet and other materials; I like to
use French and Italian laces, I do hand sew beads, sequins and
rhinestones. Other techniques I use are ribbon and thread
embroidery and the Italian style quilting called
Trapunto.
Children's Wear: I started creating children clothing in 1995 when
I looked at a very beautiful little girl and felt inspired! Since
then I have designed a winter-line baring my name sold also at
Nordstrom in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. I love
to create for children keeping in mind that while parents look for
quality and style, kids want fun and comfortable clothing to play
and live in when not having to "behave"! I works with many kinds of
materials, but prefer to use natural fibers whenever
possible.
Diffa 2002: A wonderful cause and for me a great experience that I
will repeat in the 2003. Here follow a group of drawings, photos
and other material regarding the 2002 Fashion Show. The
overall theme for the night was the Wizard Of OZ, my theme were the
three characters: Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin man.
Diffa 2003: Again, a wonderful experience! This year the main theme
of the night was Sexy In The City/ DIVA UB2. My theme was
Masquerade. This year DIFFA has been a particularly wonderful
opportunity to find out about good friends, old and new that put
some of their talent, energy and spirit at work to make it all
possible. Check my credit page and you can read
about all of them.
Diffa 2004: There are many reasons for having or participating in a
show or an event. For example the Lady Bug is a group formed
by wonderful and committed women that organize fund-raisers, and
make items for some of the smallest patients at The Children
Hospital. I am proud to have contributed in such event with a
fashion show.
The Bakery: When you open a magazine and look at beautiful photos
of gowns, you only see a selected few. In this page you will see
how many photo we originally had to chose from. For this
photo shoot, we chose to go to Marissa's Bakery. We had to work
while the people around us worked on making wonderful breads and
pastries! It was a challenge moving around with tripods,
lights, model and photographer while trying to not interrupt the
bakers or the clients. Photos by Vincent Watson.
The Laundromat: I was approached and interviewed by a writer about
the fashion for the holiday season. I was also asked to supply
photos and with very little time, we had to come up with a location
for the photo shoot. I came up with: the Laundromat which is
a place most of us visit often. This photo shoot was a lot of fun
to make and pleasantly surprised the writer and the magazines where
the photos were later published. Photos by Tom
Corcoran.
Stage Accessories: When presenting a collection the clothes the
models wear are very important, but sometimes to have the right
accessory on stage or in our every day life, enhances the clothes
we wear. A hat, a pair of gloves, a beautiful whimsical
purse, a scarf, and why not, even a mask for special occasion such
as Mardi-Grass can make a difference.

Press Releases: Through the years I have been interviewed about my
work and have participated in events where photos of my work were
taken and later included in articles published in various magazines
and newspapers. I have included here not only the pages and covers
of the magazines where my work has been displayed, but also some of
the original photographs used, or photos that are very similar to
the ones chosen for publication. There are also a couple of
drawings and material samples. This page starts from the most
recent and goes back in time to my experiences in
Italy.
UOMO MODA is my latest venture. Even though I have not been new to
designing and making men's wear, this is the first time I have been
designing, producing and selling my creations in a store.
Until UOMO MODA came to be, most of my work has been
men’s custom design. When this challenge presented itself I
welcomed it and so far it has been a success. I hope to be adding
new photos as time goes by, so keep coming back!
Women's
Wear: This is a new page where you can see custom made women's and
junior's day-wear designed by Maria Campo. This page, will be
updated as frequently as possible.
